To use your pendulum: Hold it in your hands and ask it to guide you. Then hold the string and let it dangle. Ask it to show you "Yes," "No," and "Maybe," pausing inbetween and taking note of what the pendulum does (e.g. swing forward and backwards). These will now be your answers. You're ready to ask your questions. 
Each one varies slightly in color, size, and shape. One will be intuitively chosen for you.
