California White Sage has been used in Indigenous ceremonial cleansing practices for hundreds of years. Use it to cleanse negative energy your home, aura, or spiritual tools.
Light the end and use your hand or a fan to blow the smoke around. Upon completion, snuff the flame out carefully using a fire safe dish. We are not responsible for any fires or mishaps with your use of this product.
Please note that due to its resource scarcity and cultural significance, white sage should always be treated with respect. We use the term "smoke cleansing" rather than "smudging" because Smudge Ceremonies are a sacred Indigenous practice that usually requires initiation in order to complete.
While there is some debate over whether non-Indigenous shops should carry white sage at all, it is our position that no plant or naturally occurring resource on Mother Earth should be gatekept. We will, however, encourage education in the history and cultural significance of any practice you undertake, as well as provide credit where due as to avoid appropriation.
