Selenite (technically called Satin Spar) never holds negative energy, so it doesn't have to be cleansed. It actually cleanses negativity from your aura as well as other crystals! Place these little towers at entryways to your home, or wherever you want to keep the energy nice and clear. You can also cleanse your aura by holding them in your hand as your envision white light washing over you. Don't fret if you accidentally scratch selenite. It is naturally fibrous and fragile, but versatile in many different ways. 
Do not ever put selenite in water.
